The Larimer County Sheriff's Office has released a video statement regarding Ranger Brendan Unitt, who died while in the line of duty on August 20, 2020.

On Sunday, August 23, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) released a video to honor their fallen officer, discussing not only the on-duty incident that occurred while Unitt was patrolling Horsetooth Reservoir which took his life, but also remembering the man himself.

The video includes Sheriff Justin Smith, Patrol Captain Ken Brink of the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources Rangers Corps and Corporal Trevor Knight, also with the Rangers Corps.

All of us at Townsquare Media send our thoughts and prayers to Ranger Unitt's family and friends, as well as his fellow rangers.
