A legendary, underground cocktail bar, restaurant and jazz lounge is reopening in Old Town after a two-month renovation.

Ace Gillett's, at 239 S. College. Ave. was has been making connections through food, drink and music since opening in 2010. However, they closed earlier this year to update the interior and develop a new menu.

Ace Gillett’s Supper Club & Lounge pairs handcrafted cocktails and reimagined comfort foods with live music and spinning vinyl for a distinctive Fort Collins experience

The bar is located under the Armstrong Hotel and named for one of the original influencers of Fort Collins, Ace Gillett. Back when Fort Collins was a "dry town," Gillett owned the Armstrong Hotel. He was determined to provide his guests with premiere entertainment and would sell mixed drinks under the table in the bar to hotel guests.

In a press release Wednesday Armstrong Hotel and Ace Gillett's manager George Prine described the renovated space like this:

A sophisticated twist on a classic neighborhood lounge.
