There won't be a Bolder Boulder in 2020.

Officials originally rescheduled the race, which usually takes place on Memorial Day, to Labor Day due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But now, The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports that the event will not be happening at all this year.

According to the publication, race director Cliff Bosley stated that cancelling the race is essential to the health and safety of its participants.

Instead of dwelling on the cancellation, organizers are putting their energy into next year's Bolder Boulder, which is set to take place on May 31, 2021.
