Hey Northern Colorado residents, it's almost Friday — and I know you are all dying to dabble in some fun, festive outdoor activities to kick off our first 'Spook-tober' weekend in Northern Colorado.

Happy homecoming, Ram fans! Celebrating its 150th anniversary, Colorado State University invites all alumni, students, families and friends to join the upcoming homecoming celebration this weekend. Friday's line-up includes a 50 Year Club Luncheon, Festival on the Oval, Homecoming Parade and the annual Bonfire. But don't leave just yet - Saturday's events are ones you won't want to miss. With the Homecoming 5K Race, Parent and Family Breakfast, Coors Light Ram Walk Tailgate and last but absolutely not least, the CSU vs. San Diego State football game. Kickoff is  at 8 p.m. at Canvas Stadium.

The Long View Marathon and Half Marathon is an exquisite option for our NoCo exercise-lovers. The switch from city to trail will have any marathoner in awe of the Northern Colorado area. This event takes place on October 5th, at City Park in Fort Collins, Colorado. Prices for this event range from $50-120. Starting at 7:30 a.m. and going until 1:30 p.m., you will be sure to get your money's worth while inhaling and exhaling our brisk, Colorado fall air.

I think this event entails everything you could ever want in an ideal fall weekend. Starting October 4th, and reoccurring every Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in October, Budweiser outdid themselves on their Fall Fest this year with events that everyone will appreciate. Not only will the Anheuser-Busch Biergarten host a Fall Festival series with live music and activities, but you can decorate your very own locally-grown pumpkin from Anderson Patchwork Pumpkins for $5 each. There will be s'mores available for purchase to roast and toast around the Biergarten's fire pits. I know what you are thinking — you are going to work up an appetite after caressing alpacas and listening to some live tunes. The Biergarten's full menu will be available, and Anheuser-Busch ice-cold beverages will be served for appropriate aged guests as well; because what's a Fall Festival without a seasonal brew in hand? The live music lineup begins with Sean Lamborne performance this Friday.
