Having grown up in Loveland, Devil's Backbone has a special place in my heart; so when I hear of another Devil's Backbone in the U.S, my ears perk up.

I've done a little research, and I'm fairly certain there's no place that is referenced as 'Devil's Backbone' that comes close to the mountainous ridge west of Loveland.

In doing that research, for other 'Devil's Backbones' across the U.S, I came across a place that has 'Devil's Backbone' in its name AND a Colorado vibe.

Devil's Backbone Brewing Company is in Lexington, Virginia, located in Highland County in the Blue Ridge mountain range where there is a small mountain that they call 'Devil's Backbone.'

This seems like a place a Coloradan, especially a Lovelander, who enjoys craft beer would want to visit. Very laid back.

The husband and wife who started the brewery got the idea for the brewery nearly 30 years ago while on a ski trip in northern Italy (sounds rough, right?) but this place does not remind you of Italy.

They started the brewery in 2011, and after much success and winning awards, they caught the eye of Anheuser-Busch who bought the brewery in 2016.

Funny thing is, I do remember a Devil's Backbone Brewery in Loveland a LONG time ago, at the corner of 5th and Garfield. Also, there was a Devil's Backbone brewpub in the Fountains of Loveland (LaQuinta) on the west side of Loveland within the last decade.

Destination vacations can be a lot of fun. I think I would definitely put Devil's Backbone Brewing on my list.
