I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little surprised by this one. After moving here about six months ago, one of the biggest lines I've seen at a drive thru anywhere was at Raising Cane's over on College Ave. I've driven by there a few times around lunch or dinner time and it's pretty insane over there.

Also, with the crazy reports of new In-N-Out locations opening up and people camping out, literally waiting hours to get a burger...I can only assume that this favorite drive-thru designation will be different next year. But for now, it looks like Colorado's (along with many other states) favorite drive-thru is Starbucks.

According to Pentagon Motor Group, the Seattle-based coffee chain is feeding a LOT of America's caffeine fix, as it was ranked the No. 1 drive-thru in most states. McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts came in 2nd and 3rd nationwide, respectively.

As for Colorado, our top 3 drive thru spots were:

  1. Starbucks
  2. Dairy Queen
  3. Panda Express

I'm not gonna lie, after living in Seattle for almost nine years, I get the Starbucks love. But for ME, it's been really cool checking out some local Colorado coffee shops, who are pretty darn good themselves.

Otherwise, I haven't been to a Dairy Queen in years. Not because I don't like them, but I just never think about it. As for Panda Express...Oh yeah, I'm all about that Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef.
