The Human Bean is not only coffee-conscious, but they're also aware of their environmental impact.

Starting tomorrow (November 1), 10 of the chain's Northern Colorado locations will make the move to strawless lids, which will be used for most of their iced and blended drinks.

The change is intended to improve the local and global environment by utilizing more sustainable practices.

"We hope this will help alleviate waste in our community," said owner Frank Sherman. "We have been looking for the right solution for some time and are excited about this option that still meets the needs of our customers."

Sherman also hopes that The Human Bean's efforts will encourage their customers to be more aware of their own impact on the environment.

Along with strawless lids, the store also employs sustainable methods such as recycling cold cups, offering discounts to customers with reusable cups, and composting their coffee grounds.

Sayonara straws, hello sustainability.
