With the release of Rogue One right around the holidays, it's only natural that fans would want to make gingerbread houses and cookies inspired by the franchise.

The awesome gingerbread Death Star shown above has been making the rounds on social media lately, so it made me wonder what else is out there that people have been making. From years past, I found these Star Wars gingerbread creations that you'll want to try to make at home (no matter how complex they are).

What do you do with your favorite spaceship? Turn it into a gingerbread house. That's what this person did with their favorite, the Millennium Falcon, complete with LEGO Star Wars characters.

    Star Wars "Pinata" Gingerbread Cookies

These "pinata" cookies are easier to make than the Star Wars gingerbread "houses" shown above, but are still advanced enough for you to have a fun time making them.

For added nerdiness, put only red M&Ms in the Darth Vader cookies.

    C-3PO Cookies

This very dedicated woman didn't use gingerbread for these C-3PO cookies, but obviously it doesn't matter what dough you use.

    Classic Gingerbread House

Of course you can always create a regular gingerbread house and stage Star Wars characters around it...right next to Santa Claus.
