Thanks to the tireless work of firefighters, the East Troublesome Fire is now 100% contained.

According to an official update, the fire reached full containment on Monday (Nov. 30). The fire burned over 193,812 acres.

The blaze erupted on Oct. 14 in Grand County, causing the evacuations of Grand Lake and Estes Park, along with the closure of Rocky Mountain National Park. 

Leaving two people dead and an estimated 580 buildings destroyed or damaged, the East Troublesome fire stands as the second largest wildfire in Colorado history:

Despite its status, the areas affected by the fire have already begun to regenerate. 

Meanwhile, the Cameron Peak Fire has burned over 208,913 acres with 94% containment, according to official Tuesday (Dec. 1) reports.
