The Den Reopens, and Yes, the Dancers Are Wearing Masks
The gentlemen's club on the Colorado-Wyoming border has reopened: 'masks on and clothes off.'
Colorado's bars, night clubs and restaurants haven't reopened yet... but technically, The Den Gentlemen's Club is on the Wyoming side of the state line on US-85. With its licensing, it was permitted to reopen when Laramie County's restaurants did on Friday, May 15.
With The Den being one of the first clubs of its kind *ahem, strip* in the entire country to reopen, they did it with a party.
On May 11, the club posted its excitement about officially reopening on its (NSFW) Instagram, 'So masks on and clothes off cause we're throwing the most EPIC PANDEMIC PARTY of the year!!!!!'
USA Today ran a feature on the club's 'Pandemic Party' that gives you a (again, NSFW) glimpse into what a strip club looks like during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we're not entirely sure there's six-foot social dis-dancing in place.
Interestingly, while the club sits on Wyoming's turf, a state that has had a low number of COVID-19 cases (the entire state has had eight deaths as of May 18), just yards away from the property is Weld County, Colorado. Weld has had over 2,000 confirmed cases, according to the Greeley Tribune.
Now, if you will excuse me, I need to go clear my browser history.
