Since winning Super Bowl 50 in 2016, the Denver Broncos have had a plethora of starting quarterbacks.

  • 2016 - Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch
  • 2017 - Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Brock Osweiler
  • 2018 - Case Keenum (only starting quarterback for an entire season since 2014)
  • 2019 - Joe Flacco, Drew Lock, Brandon Allen
  • 2020 - Drew Lock, Jeff Driskel, Brett Rypien

For those of you keeping count, that is a total of a dozen starting quarterbacks in a span of five seasons.

According to the Denver Channel, Teddy Bridgewater won the position over Drew Lock for the performance against the Seattle Seahawks this past Saturday. Bridgewater completed 9 out of 11 passes for a total of 105 yards and one touchdown.

Teddy Bridgewater came to the Denver Broncos in April after a single season stint with the Carolina Panthers. Bridgewater started his NFL career in 2014 with the Minnesota Vikings where he played for three seasons before heading to the New Orleans Saints for two seasons.

We are all hoping that Teddy Bridgewater succeeds as starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos. We all love our team and want to see wins. However, the previous five seasons have shown us that management and coaching staff for the Denver Broncos is anything but decisive when it comes to the position of starting quarterback.
