It's reportedly the highest 'incorporated municipality' not just in the state, but in the entire country.

And, with elevation, comes inflation — apparently — because homes in this area aren't cheap. The 'municipality' in Park County is home to only a few hundred people, who must really enjoy the cold, because when you're up that high in the Rockies, you're subjected to subarctic climate. Alma is said to be one of the coldest inhabited places in the Lower 48.
