A new “Safest Cities in Colorado” report from business insurance company AdvisorSmith has found that Fort Collins is the second safest city in Colorado.

Here's a proposal that makes sense at first, but has at least one fundamental flaw. Perhaps we can build from this idea.

Colorado: It's the best of places and the worst of places.

When you drive through a metro area, it's easy to forget it's not just one large city.

Each town or city throughout the state of Colorado has it's own unique features which many of the locals can say make them the prettiest in the state. But if you had to pick one area which you think is the prettiest, who would you choose?

This is something we'll be hearing about for awhile. We're told Saturday in Old Town, an argument between two guys was escalating quickly at Bondi Beach Bar, the bouncer, and Fort Collins Police, got involved.  Then, a 22-year-old woman, who was one of the guys' girlfriends, obstructed, shoulder-tapping the bouncer and a police officer...

This is the product of an impromptu Thursday afternoon happy hour this past week.  Which, strangely enough, wasn't at any of the places on this list.  It was at the Cheba Hut on Taft Hill, which is pretty close to home, and a perfect little tuckaway for a weekday...

In our quest to investigate more of the ghost towns that litter the Colorado landscape, today our travels take us to Weld County's ghost town, Dearfield.

In the Rocky Mountains of Colorado is the town of Gilman, sitting at an elevation of 8,950 feet. While it is now considered a "ghost town", many people visit it yearly.

We're very lucky to live in the region that we do. It is growing every day and I think we can all agree there is something for everyone. But not every town is lucky.
