People in Northern Colorado have been clamoring for a Costco Wholesale Club for years. There's been rumors dating back to the mid-nineties of where and when Fort Collins residents would get a Costco that is less than a 45-minute drive away. Now it is official, a Costco will be built in Timnath, Colorado and it should open on October 1st!

A grass fire is burning at Larimer County Roads 5 and 40 north of Timnath and east of Fort Collins. Poudre Fire Authority reported they were on scene about 5:42 p.m. Wednesday evening via Twitter.

The Town of Timnath closed on a land deal with Poudre Fire Authoirty that opens the door for a new fire station, town hall and police station at the corner of Harmony Road and Larimer County Road 5. The new complex could also include corporate offices and two upscale restaurants, according to the Coloradoan.
