Shinedown

You have to give it up to the guy, he is a fighter! He has battled addiction and weight issues, and won both. He also happens to have one of the best voices I have ever heard. Shinedown's lead singer, Brent Smith, has a lot going for him these days. But after finally making it to my first Shinedown show last night I can't help but question (of all things) his dance moves!

As far as physical professions go, being a musician is usually one of the most injury free occupations you could choose. Still, there are the occasional accidents that happen on the road and Shinedown bassist Eric Bass is feeling the effects of a performance mishap last night (March 22) in Lubbock, Texas.

You wouldn't know it by looking at him today, but there was a period not too long ago that Shinedown singer Brent Smith was struggling with both drug and alcohol addiction, as well as weight issues. Part of the reason Smith is built as well as he is these days is due to his newfound commitment to his health, and he discussed his transformation with the Los Angeles Times.
