BE AWARE.  There is a new scam happening in Colorado.  This time it involves law enforcement.

We've all been approached in a parking lot before by someone claiming that they had fallen on hard times and needed a few bucks. Maybe they needed gas for the car or a couple bucks to catch the bus. Sometimes you cough up a few bucks. But don't you always wonder if the person was telling the truth or not?

In this day and age I think it is safe to say that you never want to give important personal or account information to someone asking for it on the phone. Still people are, and it is fueling the fires of scammers. The Colorado Division of Insurance is warning residents to be on the lookout for a new scam in which a fake caller tries to get bank account information.
