Roy released a statement today to the media stating that he is stepping down as the head coach and VP-Hockey Operations, opening the statement with "For the past three years, I have carried out my duties as Head Coach and Vice President

Patrick Roy is one of the most beloved sports figures in the history of Colorado sports, and he continues to build on his legacy as he is now in his first season as Colorado Avalanche head coach. But real Av's fans know that Patty wasn't just a great goaltender, he was also quite the hot-head. His son Frederick appears to have taken after pops with both hockey skills, and a mean tamper!

You may call it a poor excuse, but ever since the NHL had their last couple of lockouts I have really lost all interest in the sport. I can't name five players in the league, the games seem to often come down to a team getting a lucky bounce to win, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of intensity.
