Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows talks about his favorite childhood Christmas present.

Avenged Sevenfold are one of the busiest bands in rock these days. Not only is the band promoting their hugely successful 'Hail to the King' album, but they've also got several other projects in the works, including the highly anticipated 'Hail to the King: Deathbat' game.

Avenged Sevenfold are still going strong on their 'Hail to the King' album and will be for quite some time, but fans of the band will be happy to know that the group intends to revisit pieces of their past for a pair of upcoming projects. Loudwire recently spoke with frontman M. Shadows who revealed plans for two projects the band hopes to complete in the coming months.

Season 13 of 'That Metal Show' will premiere Jan. 18 on VH1 Classic. The first episode of the season will welcome Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows, Black Label Society's Zakk Wylde and Five Finger Death Punch's Jason Hook.

Despite the success of their latest album, ‘Hail to the King,’ which arrived on Aug. 23, Avenged Sevenfold have had to deal with their fair share of detractors, including some trash talk from their peers in the metal world. Most notably, Machine Head’s Robb Flynn a very public dig at A7X, criticizing the band’s authenticity referring to their latest offering as a “covers album.”
