Colorado Avalanche

The new season in a new league is going to begin soon. This means a new face will lead the way.

Colorado sports looked a little different in 2020, but there were still some epic moments.

Not many people came into this NHL season with high expectations for the Colorado Avalanche and their chances on winning the cup. But I don't think many of us predicted that the season would turn out to be this bad.

We know it's been a tough season for the Colorado Avalanche, but this latest statistic shows that there are many fans throughout the state that can now be called former fans.

If you're a fan of professional sports in Colorado, you're probably familiar with some of the beloved mascots that represent each of the teams.

The Hockey Hall of Fame may not seem as prestigious as the Baseball Hall in Cooperstown or the Football Hall in Canton, but if you spend your whole life on skates, I am sure there is no greater honor than being enshrined in Toronto. That honor came true for six former NHL players today (June 23), two of them former Colorado Avalanche stars.

So that title may be a little discriminatory, and since I don't want anyone to think that I am some sort of jerk, I must say that not all of the Minnesota Wild's fans are crazy chicks. But there is at least one fan from last nights Colorado Avalanche game in Minnesota that is more restraining order type than girlfriend type!

Colorado Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie is most likely done for the rest of the season. The guy who laid the dirty knee-to-knee hit on him will only have to miss seven games, as the NHL suspended the Minnesota Wild left winger Matt Cooke.

After watching the first two games of the the opening round playoff series between the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche, there was no question who the quicker/more athletic team was. It was clearly the Avs. Game 3 was a different story though and it seemed as though at least a little of that was a result of the Wilds aggressive play.

I must admit that I haven't watched a whole lot of hockey this season, and no excuses will be good enough to not be called a fair weather fan. But starting tonight, I will be watching the Colorado Avalanche as they begin their quest for the Stanley Cup. Here are a few reasons you should be watching too.

The Colorado Avalanche took on the Chicago Blackhawks last night (March 12th) at the Pepsi Center in Denver. And although fights don't happen as often as they used to in the NHL, they still happen, so no surprise that there was one last night. But the surprising part was that the people in the crowd were more entertaining than the fight itself.

'Radioactive' by Imagine Dragons is a song that can get a lot of people 'jacked-up' about things. The Colorado Avalanche have now turned it into the ultimate hockey song.
