Cold Springs Fire

It's hard to forget the Cold Springs Fire that burned 528-acres in Nederland over the summer.

What started as a fun camping trip over the weekend led to the accusation and arrest of 2 out-of-state campers for arson, resulting in several homes destroyed and a mandatory evacuation for residents living in the 308-acre Cold Springs Fire perimeter.

Right now, all open burning is prohibited in Boulder County - no ifs, ands, or buts.
