Two of the most legendary bands in American music history have made their way to the Rocky Mountains to play at the best concert venue this country has to offer tonight. Rock legends Chicago and The Doobie Brothers will share the stage this summer evening for a night of classic rock hits spanning both artists’ extensive repertoire of chart topping and award winning hits.
For the fifth time in their careers, Chicago and the Doobie Brothers will tour together. The two classic rock bands will be on the road playing mostly sheds and amphitheaters for 25 dates across the country between July 11 and August 26. Chicago are the headliners, but the show promises to have both bands on stage for the finale playing some of their biggest hits.
When a summertime trek with the Doobie Brothers kicks off later this year, Chicago will bring an extra milestone to the stage in addition to their legendary catalog of horn-driven classics: the versatile band is celebrating their 45th anniversary. And founding member and trumpet player Lee Loughnane tells Ultimate Classic Rock that the time has gone by in a “flash.”
The Doobie Brothers will celebrate their 40th anniversary as a group by teaming up with Chicago for a summer concert tour that will feature an evening full of hits from both bands and their legendary catalogs.
