The male suspect wanted by the Loveland Police Department for his involvement in a stabbing incident on Saturday (Jan. 30) has turned himself in.

On Saturday morning around 5:30 a.m, police responded to to a report of a stabbing in the 300 block of Frederick Drive in Loveland.

At the scene, officers found a 42-year old male suffering from life-threatening knife wounds to his neck. The victim was taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies where he underwent surgery. The victim’s health status and identity has not been released, according to the Loveland Reporter-Herald.

Several witnesses at the scene were able to help police identify 33-year old Nicholas Mango as the alleged suspect in the stabbing.

After authorities asked for help in locating the suspect, Mango, 33, turned himself in at the Larimer County Jail in Fort Collins on Tuesday (Feb. 2). Mango faces multiple charges including attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and possession of a weapon as a previous offender.

Mango is set to appear at the 8th Judicial District Court at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 8.
