Susan Sidetracks on the Backroads of Larimer County – Do You Know Where She Is?

Introduction

Directions, they are not everyone’s cup of tea; that’s my philosophy! If you’ve listened over the years you probably know that every so often I get a little lost at times; it’s that whole getting old and becoming senile syndrome. At least that’s what I say, but other people tell me that it’s nothing new and I’ve been a little dazed and confused for years. I get more than just a little flack from everyone here at the station for everything from my parking skills to always being lost, thus they have inspired me to start taking pictures during my adventures. When I find myself in a conundrum I just send them a photo to a friend and say HELP! They are nice enough to lend a hand but honestly I think they are getting a little tired of the constant nagging so I’m asking for your backup. Remember that old song by The Police, Sending Out An SOS, well yeah it’s pretty much my theme song.

Each week I’m going to put up a picture from one of my aimless wanderings to see if you can identify where in the heck I am at! Just put your guesses in the facebook comments section below and next week I’ll reveal the location I found myself in along with another clue to where I am lost.

This Week’s Clues

I got advice on how to ‘trailer train’ my two yearling horses. “Just put feed in the trailer so that they get used to going in there to eat”. What a marvelous plan… EXCEPT …that when the sweet feed and alfalfa were gone, they started eating the trailer. They’d pulled off the lights and shredded the wires before I caught on …and they’d still be eating the horse trailer now, likely down to the tires…oh right, they’d probably eat those , too.

SO, with no tail lights I  drive on the back gravel roads to avoid the fuzz, I’m a lawbreaker, a rebel as I head south from Windsor then west toward Murdock’s Trailers.

I do fine til I get to I-25. Hmmmm….do I go through that hole, or do I go north to 402 or south to that big yellow building??? That’s when I had to pull over and call BFF Cintia…fortunately she works across the road from THIS SPOT. Do you know where I am?
