Despite the turbulence of the pandemic, New Hope Youth Ranch has continued to help local families struggling with mental health, special needs, and crisis situations.

Now, the Northern Colorado non-profit is excited to host this year's Superheros for Hope Gala from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 5 at the HNS Life Center (1511 E. 11th St.) in Loveland.

There, attendees can dress up as their favorite superheroes and enjoy great food, a silent auction, the chance to meet Colorado Captain America, and photo opportunities with the community's local heroes — firefighters, police, and Biker's Against Child Abuse (BACA).

"In 2020...we really saw a great need for things for children and families. Everyone's been cooped up, all the events have been canceled," said Marisol Jackson, founder of New Hope Youth Ranch, in our "Tuned In to NoCo" interview. "We're really excited. I want families to have a great time. I think everybody misses that family-event kind of atmosphere."

The first 500 guests will receive prizes. Those who would like to donate can bring gently-used action figures and Lego sets for the organization's therapy room.

On top of being a family-friendly event, the gala also allows New Hope Youth Ranch to continue its mission of helping families in need.

"While we can't always provide cures for families with mental health [issues] or a disability, we can provide hope," said Jackson. "The whole point around New Hope Youth Ranch and what we're trying to do is to be able to bring families to their greatest potential...and just bring them up to the highest level as we walk with them through it."

Individual tickets for the event are $20 and family passes are $35. You can purchase yours here.
