Parts of the United States will soon see the particles from the Sahara Desert this week. This event happens annually when the kicks up and the wind blows it all the way across the Atlantic Ocean.

According to KDVR, the dust is making its way toward Colorado. But, you know how the weather is... We're not exactly sure if the Saharan dust will make it to our state or not until it is actually here.

The best part about the Saharan dust is that they can make for some amazing sunsets that will have brighter shades of red, orange, pink, and yellow. On the opposite side of the spectrum, air quality degradation is pretty bad. Especially for those with preexisting conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, asthma, or allergies.
