There is just something about a t-shirt that can make my day. I'm not talking about the hot girl at the office wearing that low cut shirt either. I am talking about my own. When I put on my Jimmy Page "ZOSO" shirt it almost gives me a bust of energy for the day. Same thing happened today when I put on a new shirt I got commemorating one of my favorite albums ever, REO Speedwagon's Hi Infidelity. In honor of my shirt I figured it was a perfect day to revisit one of my favorites.

It took eight albums before it, but REO Speedwagon finally hit the nail perfectly on the head in 1980 with, in my opinion, their best album. Hi Infidelity had six songs that hit the Billboard charts and became the biggest selling rock LP of 1981, eventually selling over ten million copies. The album also scored the band their first ever number one hit with "Keep on Loving You."

In 1981, the music video of the song was the 17th played on the first day of broadcast of MTV, on August 1. It was framed by a scene of lead singer, Kevin Cronin talking about his relationship troubles with a female psychiatrist and contained a shot where a woman picked up a telephone connected to Gary Richrath's guitar, referencing the live version of "157 Riverside Avenue."

So remember, the right shirt could make or break your day! For me, it's an REO Speedwagon sort of day, which is always a good day!
