Rancid Announce 2019 Tour Dates With Pennywise
Punk heavyweights Rancid have announced a stretch of North American concerts this summer and fall alongside fellow veteran rockers Pennywise. Bands such as Suicidal Tendencies, Iron Reagan, Turnstile, Angel Du$t, the English Beat and the Aquabats will also appear on select dates. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 21, at 10AM local time.
It all starts Sept. 14 in Pittsburgh and wraps up Sept. 28 in Denver, and the tour will find Rancid sharing the bill with Pennywise at all stops. Meanwhile, the cast of supporting outfits will slightly change on most nights of the 10-date trek. See the complete run of tour dates listed down toward the bottom of this post.
The shows continue Rancid's rally behind latest album Trouble Maker, the 2017 effort containing "Ghost of a Chance," "Telegraph Avenue" and "Where I'm Going" from the mainstay act led by frontman Tim Armstrong.
Armstrong is also an actor, having portrayed a homeless artist named Trashman in 2016's tenth season reboot of sci-fi series The X-Files. (He appeared in that season's fourth episode, "Home Again.") "I couldn't say no cause X-Files is one of my favorite shows of all-time," the Rancid vocalist had said of the role.
Pennywise, meanwhile, will continue to promote their 2018 effort, Never Gonna Die,
