Dairy Fire

Poudre Fire Authority firefighters with those from Windsor Severance Fire Rescue responded to report of a front-end loader on fire at a dairy farm on Weld County Road 80. Firefighters from Windsor were first on scene and assumed command. The front-end loader was determined to be a total loss. A WSFR investigator is investigating. There was no other damage and no injuries.

Fire North of Larimer County Landfill

On the west side of town, PFA firefighters responded to a fire about one-half mile north of the Larimer County Landfill, on the west side of Taft Hill Road. Roughly one-half mile was burned, and the probable cause was determined to be a cigarette tossed from a passing vehicle. A Larimer County landfill truck assisted in putting the fire out. There was no property damage.
