Canadian electronic rock duo, Phantogram, will be performing live in concert at The Fillmore Auditorium on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.

Friends from childhood, Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter came together to form Phantogram in 2007, releasing their debut album, Eyelid Movies, and officially breaking into the music scenthree years later. Phantogram’s last album, Voices, came out in 2014, and like their past albums, showcases their unique musical sound that they have dubbed to be "street beat, psych pop." Listeners can expect to hear a mix of funky, electronic rhythms to heartfelt, sensual and haunting songs featuring impressive vocals from both Bathel and Carter. As a duo, they have not only created phenomenal music together, but they have also worked with many other talented artists, including Glitch Mob, Skirllex, and Big Boi, as well as also having had their songs featured on television and film, like on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack. When it comes to song-writing, the duo is very much so inspired by their surroundings, as well as from poems, short stories, Wes Anderson movies, and other influential musicians like The Flaming Lips. However, way more thought goes into each song then just putting the words together – Barthel always has a creative vision in mind as she writes, even taking into consideration the visuals that will eventually come into play when performing the lyrics live. The band aims to have their shows be as interactive as possible, done so with colorful lights and other special effects. Crowds can literally feel the energy coming from the stage as the pair dances and truly makes their music come to life
