As of late, it would seem that Coloradans are striking it big through the lottery.

In August of this year, there were some serious winnings, with three tickets of over $1 million being sold in the month alone.

Of those three tickets, the highest jackpot out of them all came from a ticket that was sold at Sundance Drug and Liquor in Aspen, totaling a whopping $5.7 million.

Another ticket, which was sold in Berthoud, gave its winner a grand total of $3.6 million, which is another nice payday.

However, there’s also been dramas surrounding tickets as well.

For example, a ticket sold in Arvada in March was worth a nice $500,000, yet, the winner never claimed their prize.

Recently, it was found that yet another winning ticket was purchased in Colorado.

Winning Lottery Ticket Sold in Pueblo, Colorado

Out in Pueblo, a massive winning ticket was just purchased at a lottery and board game shop called Winner’s Corner.

According to the Denver Post, it’s a Colorado Lotto+ ticket that has a jackpot of $3.1 million.

However, the ticket itself has a cash value of only $1.5 million after taxes and fees.

While that’s more than half of the winnings gone, somebody in Colorado has pretty much instantly become a millionaire.

In terms of the odds of winning this prize, it was pretty slim. If you bought a Colorado Lotto+ ticket, you had a one in 3.84 million chance of getting the jackpot.

If you have bought a ticket from that shop, the winning numbers are 9-16-20-26-27-35.

While recently it seems like Coloradans are doing extraordinarily well in the lottery, that hasn't always been the case. Maybe this is another sign that our luck is changing.
