People Are Loving This Humongous Bear Found in Colorado
While Colorado is full of animals that are undeniably cute, there’s absolutely some that would tear you up in a heartbeat given the chance.
Of course, mountain lions are probably the scariest predator out here in the Centennial State.
However, you know you’re really from Colorado when you get afraid of animals like moose or elk.
It’s hard for people who have never seen them just how massive both these creatures are, and how easily they could hurt you if they wanted to.
However, bears have taken the spotlight recently in terms of attacks against humans, with one happening where a 74-year old was attacked in his own home by a black bear and her three cubs.
With that being said, bears have an interesting duality in that while they can very easily hurt or kill you, they are one of the internet’s most beloved animals because they’re also pretty cute.
Now, people can’t get over a bear found in Colorado that’s carrying around a lot of weight.
Absolute Unit of a Bear Spotted in Colorado
Recently, Colorado Parks and Wildlife Southwest Region released some pictures from a trail cam of what appears to be quite the specimen.
They were able to snap some footage of an absolutely massive black bear that was roaming around near Durango, Colorado this weekend.
They posted the picture on X (formerly known as Twitter), and said:
“We thought we had seen really fat Durango bears before. But this one takes the cake. It also probably ate the cake. Every cake.”
The absolute unit of a bear quickly became a viral sensation, with people absolutely falling in love with it.
One user named Travel With Ellen simply said:
“He CHONKY! 🐻”
Marian McCleskey said:
“It’s a big boy!!!💞”
Finally, a user named Holistic Habits sees this bear as setting a good example for everyone:
“That bear is living its best life! It’s a great reminder to embrace our appetite for joy and fun in life. We may not eat every cake, but we can certainly find small treats that nourish our soul.”
This is around the time of year when black bears gain a significant amount of weight before going into hibernation for the winter.
It would seem this bear in particular is more than ready for this winter.
