Only two regular-season games are left for the Denver Broncos, but who will be their starting quarterback this Sunday vs. The Chargers?

Will Drew Lock start for the Denver Broncos?

The Denver Broncos have only two regular-season games left in the 2021-2022 season. One versus the Los Angeles Chargers in Los Angeles this Sunday, January 2nd. Then one more back home at Empower Field at Mile High for the regular-season finale against the hated Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, January 9th. Who is starting at quarterback has yet to be announced officially by the Broncos.

As seen in the tweet from the team above, Broncos Head Coach, Vic Fangio, has said that Drew Lock is likely to start, but has said it's likely that backup Drew Lock will be under center at home this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers. Below, you can see what happened to Denver Broncos starting QB, Teddy Bridgewater, two weeks ago against the Cincinnati Bengals.

It was a pretty scary moment to watch live. He hit his head on the ground so hard he was temporarily knocked unconscious. It was so bad that the medical team removed the facemask from his helmet and loaded him on a stretcher to take him to the emergency room to be checked out. Teddy was out of the hospital the next day but he's not practiced since. Not that anyone from the Broncos is asking me, but with this being his 2nd concussion this season, he'd be much better off sitting the rest of the regular season out. There is a very small chance we still make the playoffs as of this writing, but I don't know if him risking his long-term health will really make a difference in the team's chances. A lot of things need to happen to give the Broncos their first post-season appearance since they won Super Bowl 50, but, as they say, never say never.

Drew Lock is all but a "lock" for Sunday and we hope he spanks the Chargers and moves on to beat Kansas City, giving us our first win over the Chiefs in 13 games. Go Broncos.
