The current COVID-19 wave in November has been the deadliest of the pandemic in Northern Colorado.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports that there have been 17 COVID-19 related deaths since Nov. 1, the most of any month.

There have now been 75 COVID-19 related deaths in Larimer County since the beginning of the pandemic.

More deaths were reported over the weekend.

On Friday (Nov. 27), five more people were reported to have died from COVID-19, including a 97-year-old Loveland woman; a 96-year-old woman and an 81-year-old man, both from Fort Collins; a 74-year-old Wellington woman; and a 73-year-old Johnstown man. Then, on Sunday (Nov. 29), another COVID-19 related death was reported, claiming the life of a 93-year-old woman from Estes Park.

The cumulative total of COVID-19 cases in Larimer County is about to break 10,000 since the start of the pandemic.

The Larimer County Department of Health reported 687 new COVID-19 cases on Friday (Nov. 27), and another 382 cases on Sunday (Nov. 29) - adding another 1,069 cases to Larimer County's cumulative total since March.

A, 9,927 Larimer County residents have contracted the novel coronavirus from March 9 through Sunday (Nov. 29).

Among the 687 new COVID-19 cases reported on Friday, 349 were found in Fort Collins,  207 in Loveland, 36 in Wellington, 28 in Berthoud, 22 in Windsor, 12 in Timnath, 10 in Estes Park, 9 in Johnstown, 7 in LaPorte, 2 each in Bellvue, Livermore and Lyons, and 1 in Red Feather Lakes.

Among the 382 new cases from Sunday's report, 199 cases were found in Fort Collins, 125 in Loveland, 15 in Wellington, 14 in Berthoud, 12 in Windsor, 6 in Timnath, 5 in Estes Park, 3 in Johnstown, 2 in Laporte and 1 in Drake.

The youngest of the new cases reported over the weekend was a 1-year-old Loveland girl, and the oldest case was a 103-year-old person, whose gender and location was not disclosed.
