Monday's snowstorm in Colorado came down strong on Fort Collins, and the Choice City got some of the highest snowfall totals throughout the state.

The snow certainly caused slick roads throughout Northern Colorado on the evening commute.

November 9 snowfall totals, according to the Denver Post

  1. Pinecliffe: 5.6 inches
  2. Aspen Springs: 5.6 inches
  3. Taylor Park: 5 inches
  4. Nederland: 4 inches
  5. Fort Collins: 3.7 inches

Loveland had about 2.6 inches and Longmont saw 1.4 inches.

Personally, I love this time of year when the sun rises on snowcapped rooftops.

Colorado, why are you so beautiful?

We have come a long way in the past few weeks following the disaster that was this year's wildfire season. Our last snowfall, during the last week of October, marked the pivotal moment which allowed fire crews to contain the Cameron Peak Fire.

One can only hope that Monday's snowfall contributed to that last eight percent of the Cameron Peak Fire that has yet to be contained.
