Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado was on fire in Monday night's game against the Nationals. He entered the game with 997 career hits after seven seasons in the league.

Arenado followed up a RBI double in the first inning with another double to lead off the fifth inning. Then, at the top of the seventh inning he hit a home run that broke a 5-5 tie and made him only the ninth Rockies player to ever reach 1,000 hits.
