NOCO Weekend: 2000’s Dance Party, Globetrotters, Disney Trivia
It is officially that time of the week again — as in time to plan your weekend so that you aren’t sitting on your couch ordering chicken wings all weekend (I definitely don't suggest this out of experience or anything).
Take advantage of the extra leap day. Here are events for Feb. 28-March 1.
Come see your favorite DJ’s, Shelby from 94.3 The X and Scruggs from 99.9 The Point, host this ecstatic 2000's dance party at the Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins. The Point and The X are joining forces for the “ultimate throwback dance party” that can only happen once every four years. That’s right, this event is so special it only happens on Leap Day. Pick your side, dress for the occasion and come dance your heart out at this rare merger at 8 p.m. on Saturday, February 29. They'll have hunks like Usher and JT and pop princesses like Britney and Christina for one side, and plenty of Blink, Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Yellowcard and more for the other.
Hosted by the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, the legendary Harlem Globetrotters are set to perform from 7-9 p.m. this Friday, February 28. You won’t want to miss this incredible event, as there will be high-flying, dunking and a lot of family fun. Tickets are available here.
The infamous Armstrong Hotel house cat, Oreo Armstrong, unfortunately passed away after 16 spectacular years of life. Join Oreo’s loyal fan base in celebrating her life from 5-10 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 in Ace Gillett’s. All profits from the event will be donated to the Larimer Humane Society.
Co-hosted by Big Thompson Brewery and Downtown Loveland, Big Thompson Brewery invites you to come test your Disney knowledge from 6:30-9 p.m. this Friday, February 28. Admission is free, and you can reserve your spot today through Facebook or Eventbrite.
