Another step towards normalcy, but not an easy choice for many. One more place our kids don't have to wear a mask.

Thompson School District and Poudre School District ended their mask mandates in early February. Those mandates were for wearing masks in district buildings and schools. Kids were still required to wear them on school buses and transportation where tracking who was sitting next to who and keeping any kind of distance was nearly impossible.

The CDC has now said kids can ditch the mask on the bus too. Okay, the CDC actually said, "effective February 25, 2022, CDC does not require wearing of masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs."

In was early 2021 that the had CDC issued an order that required face masks to be worn by anyone on public transportation

It was just over a month ago that health officials wear urging us to wear KN95 masks and the state of Colorado started handing them out for free. Now, our kids aren't even required to wear a light cloth mask. Hmm. It's confusing, but I know most kids aren't going to be complaining.

Friends of mine are continuing to wear a mask, not in fear of Covid, but because they have not been sick with the cold or flu in 2 years. There is something to be said for a mouth covering.
