Nike is a new National Football League partner, taking over uniform and gear design from Reebok. Nike unveiled its new NFL uniforms on Tuesday. As announced about a year ago, the Denver Broncos are going back to their roots a bit with their new uniforms that will feature orange jerseys with blue stripes.

The designs stayed pretty true to what NFL fans have come to expect. However, the Seattle Seahawks  got some neon green added to their jerseys. ESPN said most of the team's uniforms are not changing because the NFL has rules that keep a team from changing its uniform design more than once every five years.

Aside from a sharp look, Todd Van Horne, Nike's creative director for football and baseball, said the players wanted the uniforms to be as light as possible. "They don't want anything weighing them down. They want to be faster," he said. The second-most important quality was fit. "They want it to stretch and move with them," he said.

The verdict?

"It clings to your body so nobody can hold you," Green Bay Packer Jermichael Finley said. "It's a real nice advantage because you get a lot of grabbing on the field."
