The City of Greeley is sprucing up its public art collection with 2 new pieces on the west side of town.

According to a news release, the City of Greeley Art Commission and the 1% for Public Art Program are adding the Double Spinner at 10601 10th Street and the Twister Star near the corner of 83rd Avenue and Highway 34. The pieces' arrival is made possible with help from the Colorado Department of Transportation, the City of Greeley Public Works/Engineering Department, and the Parks Division.

Both pieces were created by the Whitaker Studio in Utah under the direction of artist, Lyman Whitaker.

There will be a free public art dedication rain or shine for the pieces' arrival into the city on Monday, September 19, at 10 a.m. at the Colorado Department of Transportation.
