It's now the second week of March, and you know what that means, right? March Madness! Whether you are a die hard sports fan, or you don't care for sports at all, office pools can bring us all together every March! And, although Colorado is not known for having very many, if any, real solid basketball schools, this year our great state is represented twice! Both Colorado and Colorado State are in the field of 68 as #11 seeds. So, they may not win it all, but it will still be fun to cheer on the hometown boys in the big dance! Who do you think will win it all?

With both CU and CSU being #11 seeds, chances are slim to none that they will go all the way to win a National Title. Actually, the lowest seed to ever win it all was an 8 seed in 1985 when Villanova won it all. History does say it is not impossible for the Rams or Buffs to get out of the first round though. #11 seeds have won just over 32% of their first round games since the tournament began. Much better than being a #16 seed, they have never won an NCAA Tournament game.

The Rams will play Murray State, who only lost one game all year, Thursday at 10:15 a.m. MST. The Buffaloes get a team that CSU beat earlier this season in UNLV 7:57 p.m. MST. The earliest the Rams and Buffs could meet up is in the Final Four.

So, although it is neat to have them in the tournament, it probably wouldn't be too smart to pick the Colorado teams to win the whole thing. Here is who Vegas says has the best chances of winning it all...
