More Than 7 Ways to Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day Around Fort Collins for 2022

St. Patrick's Day falls on a Thursday this year so, technically, we have two solid weekends to make the most out of St. Paddy's, Fort Collins.

A Couple of Reminders for St. Patrick's Day:

1. Make sure you don't drink and drive-- Get a ride.
2. When you refer to 'St. Paddy's' use two Ds, not 2 Ts. It matters.

After the last couple of years, many people, Irish or not, are ready to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I believe not celebrating St. Paddy's with a friend in 2020, was my official start of the lockdowns.

So here we are in 2022, ready to don our orange, white and green, and get our fun on around Fort Collins. How about seven things? Better still; how about MORE than seven?

Blarney on the Block/St. Patrick's Day Parade

• Date: March 12, 2022.
• Where: Downtown Greeley.
• Time: Starting at 2 p.m.
• Parade followed by live Irish music on the 9th Street Plaza.

Fort Collins won't be having its big parade, again,this year, so this parade on Saturday the 12th is a good way to go. It's not long, but it's a lot of fun. There are several places in Downtown to get your festivities on, five days before March 17th, as well.

Lucky Joe's Irish Party

• Date: March 12, 2022
• Where: Lucky Joe's Sidewalk Saloon.
• Time: Open-Close

Lucky Joe's will be celebrating March 12 through March 17. This party will kick off the week of St. Paddy's Festivities.

Soul Squared's Happy Go Lucky 5K

• Date: March 12, 2022
• Where: Centennial Park, Wellington
• Time: Race begins at 9:00 a.m. Community Celebration afterwards.

This will be Wellington's first St. Patrick's Day 5K and celebration, as they wanted to bring festivities closer to town. Collect the five 'gold' coins along the 5K route to earn a free pint. Get signed up. 

William Oliver's "Irish Whiskey 301"

• Date: March 15, 2022
• Where: William Oliver's (Fort Collins).
• Time: 5:30 p.m.
• Cost: $15

Two days before the big day, spend some time enjoying Tullamore Dew Original, XO (Caribbean) 12 year and 18 year whiskeys, while  going through an in-depth examination of the history and rules concerning Irish Whiskey. Not a bad way to celebrate St. Paddy's.

Fort Collins' signature Irish bar makes the list twice. Get there early to get some food in you before enjoying the celebration.

The Irish Pub on St. Patrick's Day

• Date: March 17, 2022
• Where: The Irish Pub.
• Time: Open-Close

Did you know that the bar formerly knows as Mulligan's has been The Irish Pub since 2020? What a great reason to get in there and introduce yourself to it - It'll be their 2nd birthday, too!

Mex O'Malley's St. Patrick's Day Celebration

• Date: March 17, 2022
• Where: Mex O'Malley's in Downtown Loveland.
• Time: Open-Close

Mex O'Malley's, Loveland new Mexican-Irish pub and cantina, will be celebrating its first St. Paddy's Day. This is going to a ceilidh, for sure.

5th Annual Lucky St. Patrick's Day Crawl

• Date: March 19, 2022
• Where: Begins at Yeti Bar & Grill
• Time: 4 p.m. until 10 p.m.
• Cost: $20-$25.

Wrap up your St. Paddy's celebrations in big way with this pub crawl. You'll pay zero cover at the selected bars (Yeti/The Rec Room, Brothers, Music District, The Whisk(e)y, Tony's,) get two free drinks, and compete for 'Best Costume.' Get signed up.
