Two more Fort Collins intersections are getting red light cameras, potentially as early as this spring.

Fort Collins Police Services told the Greeley Tribune that they're still finalizing the locations, but the top two choices are Mulberry Road and Shields Street; and Shields Street at Prospect Road.

Two other Fort Collins intersections already have red light cameras and have proven hugely successful in reducing red light violations and crashes.

When choosing red light camera locations, city officials consider factors such as the frequency of red light-running, the infrastructure of intersections and the cost of the installation.
