Mollie’s Deep Cut: “Castle” by Halsey [AUDIO]

You know her alt-pop hit "New Americana," but Halsey has some other badass tunes that should be heard. That's why my deep cut today is "Castle" by Halsey.

Listen closely to the lyrics and you'll begin to feel very somber, especially if you're a woman in the professional world. Like seriously, the lyrics are depressing:

I'm assuming Halsey took part in writing most if not all those lyrics; while I won't go into extreme detail, working in the entertainment industry as a female is tough and I can totally relate (as I'm sure is the case with all females in the professional world). You know you're a badass, you have a lot of great ideas, and you're undoubtedly being underutilized, yet people around you don't always have your best interests in mind and do everything in their power to hold you back. It sucks.

Important note: I love where I'm at in my career right now and wouldn't change anything.
