MMA Comes to Loveland – Havoc At The Hellespont
Do you enjoy watching really fit dudes wrestle and punch each other in a show of dominance? Don't be ridiculous, of course you do; it's cage fighting!
Mixed Martial Arts comes to Northern Colorado again, this time by the name Havoc At The Hellespont. (A Hellespont is apparently a place in Greece and the home of the original Olympics.) This Friday - the 13th - you could enjoy watching twelve fights, including one Middleweight Championship at the Budweiser Events Center.
Because it takes place on Friday the 13th, if you are superstitious, you may want to wear your lucky socks or underwear or whatever you have that happens to be lucky.
In a cool move, the fight actually benefits a few vets who have been affected by cancer. This event will help the family of Sergeant First Class Mark Jenkins, who was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder in 2008 and passed away this January. It will also be benefiting Major Ali Englert, who is currently undergoing chemo and treatment. You can read more about their stories and donate here.
Tickets start at $15, and if you want to ringside, you'll have to pitch about $75. You can pick up tickets here.
