Investigators are working to determine what caused the death of a man whose body was discovered at Bohn Park in Lyons on Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 1:07 p.m., Boulder County Sheriff's deputies and personnel from other agencies responded to Bohn Park in Lyons on a report of a 74-year-old man who had been unconscious.

A news release from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office says the unidentified man was pronounced deceased at the scene, despite life-saving efforts.

The Boulder County Coroner's Office will release the man's identity at another time; members of the Lyons Fire Department, American Medical Response, and Northern Medical Med-Evac also responded to the scene on Tuesday afternoon.

It's unclear in which part of Bohn Park the man was found - the park is home to various activities that span across 40 acres, including multi-use sports fields, an off-leash dog park, picnic areas, a playground, trails, and more (the point being, he could have been anywhere but not necessarily near other people).
