A judge sentenced the man accused of plotting to kill Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke to prison on Friday (Jan. 24).

According to The Coloradoan, the accused is 32-year-old Billie Allen, a Weld County inmate and member of the white supremacist gang 211 Crew.

Allen was sent to Weld County Jail in 2018 with 17 criminal charges and habitual criminal sentence enhancers by December of that year.

On Dec. 4, a jail deputy overheard Allen talking to another inmate about a snitch. He also expressed his hatred for Rourke, who had filed weapon and drug possession charges against him.

The deputy then found out that Allen planned to have Rourke murdered at his home on Christmas Day.

Allen intended to send another inmate, who was set for release, to Rourke's house around 2 a.m., posing as a pizza delivery driver. Once the inmate completed the task, Allen promised to make him a 211 Crew member.

The plan closely models another successful 211 Crew operation.

Gang member Evan Ebel shot and killed the Colorado Department of Corrections Director Tom Clements at his Monument home in 2013 while acting as a pizza delivery driver.

Police killed Ebel during a shootout in a high-speed chase in Texas.

If Allen's Ebel-style plan did not follow through, he told another inmate that he would bite Rourke's face off during a trial set for February 11, 2019.

In Friday's trial, Allen pleaded guilty to the Class 4 felony of attempting to influence a public servant. His other charges were dropped as part of a plea deal.

Allen will spend nine years in the Department of Corrections.
