Loveland’s Historic Fairgrounds Bridge
No beautiful day in Loveland should go without a walk around Fairgrounds Park: The river, the picnic area, the splash park for the kids and Fairgrounds Bridge.
I live just off of Downtown in Loveland, very close to Fairgrounds Park. Recently, on a very nice afternoon, I went for a walk over to the park and a walk along Fairgrounds Bridge. It is a very cool piece of work.
I didn't know that this bridge used to be on 1st Street when they erected it in 1915. In 1970 they moved it to where it is now. I think it's great that it the only bridge of its kind in Colorado that can still handle motorized vehicles passing over it!
How many times have YOU walked across the bridge? Have you ever thought of all the Loveland citizens who've used it in its lifetime?
