An air quality advisory has been issued in Larimer County due to the Chambers Lake/Cameron Peak wildfire.

You may have woken up to a hazy morning in Fort Collins, but it's more than just a striking visual: the wildfire smoke, according to a press release, "could reach levels that impact people sensitive to poor air quality at times through Friday evening across the Colorado Front Range region." Those with conditions such as heart or lung disease are encouraged to forego prolonged exposure to the outdoors today, as well as older adults and children, especially those with asthma.

Environmental Health Services Director for the Department of Health and Environment Shaun May encourages all to stay inside: "“Now is not the right time to go for a bike ride or take a hike."
