Larimer County Adds New COVID-19 Cases, Needs More Hospital Staff
While hospitals in the county do still have vacant beds and have also increased their available space under surge protocols, Larimer County Public Health Director Tom Gonzales said that they are having trouble finding the staff to care for patients.
As of Tuesday, 64 people are hospitalized in Larimer County with COVID-19.
Larimer County reported 61 additional COVID-19 cases on Tuesday (Nov. 17), which has resulted in another rise in the county's cumulative tally since March.
According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald, the 61 new cases are dated Sunday, Nov. 15; Larimer County health officials explained in a public meeting on Tuesday (Nov. 17) that the online database was having technical difficulties in terms of updating COVID-19 data onto the site.
The county's new cumulative total of COVID-19 cases currently stands at 6,722.
Among the 61 new confirmed cases, 35 cases were found in Fort Collins, 15 in Loveland, and 6 in Wellington. The remaining five cases were found in Windsor, Johnstown, Berthoud and Timnath.
The youngest case is a Fort Collins infant whose exact age was not listed and the oldest case is a 90-year-old Loveland woman.
