King Soopers, City Market Recall Kroger Ice Cream

Because I am an ice cream freak, when I heard the news of this recall it had me running for the freezer to see if I had any of the possibly tainted ice cream. Luckily all my ice cream was safe, and actually the recall wouldn't have affected me anyways, but your may not be so lucky. The parent company of King Soopers and City Market is recalling some of its ice cream because the ice cream may contain pecans that are not listed on the label.

People who are allergic to pecans could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they eat the ice cream.

The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) said "For consumers who are not allergic to pecans, there is no safety issue with the product."

The recalled ice cream was sold in 48 fluid ounce cartons with a "sell by" date of June 12, 2013 under the following UPC Code: 11110 50718.

The ice cream was sold in Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.

Many customers have been notified by the store, others may return the product to stores for a full refund or replacement.
